2. Cancellation Categories
Different accommodations on our platform may have different cancellation policies. We categorize these policies as follows:
Flexible
Free cancellation up to 24 hours before check-in.
- Full refund if cancelled 24+ hours before check-in
- No refund if cancelled less than 24 hours before check-in
- No refund for no-shows
Moderate
Free cancellation up to 5 days before check-in.
- Full refund if cancelled 5+ days before check-in
- 50% refund if cancelled 2-4 days before check-in
- No refund if cancelled less than 2 days before check-in
- No refund for no-shows
Strict
Free cancellation up to 14 days before check-in.
- Full refund if cancelled 14+ days before check-in
- 50% refund if cancelled 7-13 days before check-in
- No refund if cancelled less than 7 days before check-in
- No refund for no-shows
Non-Refundable
No refund under any circumstances.
- These rates are typically discounted
- Payment is taken at the time of booking
- No refunds for cancellations or modifications
- No refund for no-shows

3. Cancellation Process
To cancel your booking, you can:
- Log in to your Hostoriq account, go to "My Bookings," and select the "Cancel" option for the relevant reservation.
- Contact our customer support team at [email protected] or call +1 (555) 987-6543 with your booking reference number.
For any cancellation, you will receive an email confirmation once the cancellation has been processed.
4. Refund Processing
When a refund is approved according to the applicable cancellation policy:
- Refunds will be processed to the original payment method used for the booking.
- Processing times vary depending on your payment provider:
- Credit/debit cards: 5-10 business days
- PayPal: 3-5 business days
- Bank transfers: 7-14 business days
- Any applicable booking fees or service charges may not be refundable, as indicated at the time of booking.
5. Special Circumstances
5.1 Force Majeure
In the event of force majeure circumstances (such as natural disasters, pandemics, government travel restrictions, etc.), special cancellation terms may apply. These will be assessed on a case-by-case basis, and we will work with our accommodation partners to provide the most flexible options possible.
5.2 Changes by Accommodation Providers
If the accommodation provider makes significant changes to your booking or is unable to honor the reservation, you will be entitled to:
- Accept the changes if they are minor
- Request alternative accommodation of equal or higher value at no additional cost
- Cancel the booking and receive a full refund
5.3 Booking Modifications
If you need to modify your booking (change dates, room type, etc.):
- Log in to your account and select "Modify Booking" for the relevant reservation
- Modifications are subject to availability and may result in price adjustments
- Changes made close to the check-in date may be subject to the cancellation policy terms
6. No-Show Policy
A "no-show" occurs when you do not check in on the scheduled arrival date without prior notice. In case of a no-show:
- The accommodation provider may cancel the entire reservation
- No refund will be provided regardless of the cancellation policy
- If you anticipate arriving late, please contact the accommodation provider directly
